Find answers to common questions about volunteering in Tanzania

No prior experience is needed for most of our programs. We provide comprehensive orientation and training when you arrive. What matters most is your enthusiasm and commitment.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to participate independently. Volunteers aged 16-17 can join with parental consent and may require a guardian.
Our programs range from 1 week to 6 months. The minimum stay is 1 week, but we recommend at least 2-4 weeks for a meaningful experience.
Program fees include airport pickup, accommodation, three meals per day, program activities, orientation, 24/7 support, and a certificate of completion.
Most international volunteers need a visa. Citizens of many countries can obtain a visa on arrival or apply for an e-visa online before travel.
Tanzania is generally safe and welcoming to tourists and volunteers. Our team provides comprehensive safety briefings, and you will have 24/7 support.
We recommend consulting with a travel health clinic at least 6-8 weeks before departure. Common recommendations include Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, and malaria prophylaxis.
Absolutely! We welcome couples, friends, and groups. We can arrange shared accommodation and coordinate programs so you can volunteer together.
Volunteers stay in carefully selected host families or volunteer houses. Accommodation is clean, safe, and comfortable with basic amenities.
